This driver adopts a specially-developed carbon-based composite diaphragm that is paired with PU Gasket Suspension. It’s both lightweight and rigid, delivering powerful sound with quick transients, extended lower and higher-end frequencies, and minimizing non-linear distortion in the output signal. Professionally Designed Open-Back Cavity Design FiiO development team aimed to reduce the unwanted reflections and vibrations within the shell of the FF5. They have carefully designed the cavity structure with a diffuse open back cavity design. It allows for cleaner, purer sound with improved bass and a wider sound field. Extended Bass Acoustic Resistance Pipe Design In order to maintain a clean bass response with the FF5, FiiO has designed the pair with acoustic resistance pipes that helps to effectively increase and extend the bass response. When the diaphragm vibrates, the air pressure is diverted towards these acoustic resistance pipes reducing the resonance in the lower end and delivering a clean response. It has a 4-strand configuration with 392 wire cores in total. It has expanded MMCX connectors and swappable termination plugs. The package includes 3.5mm and 4.4mm termination plugs.
